About This Spot

Stepping into Lee's China Garden Restaurant feels like entering a quiet, familiar corner of North Bay where the rhythm slows down just enough to savor the moment. The space invites a relaxed, almost unhurried dining experience—a place where friends and family gather around generous plates, sharing conversation amidst the gentle hum of clinking chopsticks and soft chatter. Despite its modest appearance, there’s a warmth that makes it easy to settle in and feel at ease.

The atmosphere is a subtle blend of casual comfort and traditional flavors, where the steady foot traffic and genuine hospitality form the backdrop to meals meant for sharing. It’s not a place of flashy presentations but one where the focus stays on the honest, straightforward joy of food and company. Whether you’re drawn here for a midday dim sum session or a dinner where each bite carries the comforting familiarity of classic Chinese dishes, the experience is anchored in thoughtful preparation and welcoming service.

On the table, dishes arrive abundant and approachable—plates of sesame chicken glazed with just the right touch of sweetness, dumplings steamed to delicate perfection, and noodle bowls that carry a satisfying hint of home-cooked care. The menu offers a diverse balance for those who enjoy a lively stir-fry as much as those seeking the quiet enjoyment of a well-made bowl of soup. Occasionally, the bustle of the kitchen spills into the dining area in subtle bursts, reminding you of the human hands crafting the meals.

Over time, Lee's China Garden has settled into being a staple for many locals seeking familiar, hearty Chinese fare without fuss. The attentive yet discreet staff tend to the room with genuine kindness, creating a space where the focus stays on connection—around shared dishes, laughter, and the simple pleasure of a good meal. It feels like a neighborhood refuge where the food holds stories of tradition, patience, and the unique pulse of North Bay’s community life.

Went for Dim Sum, it was really relaxed and a beautiful way to share time together. Love the atmosphere here and everything was delicious- not much vegetarian for dim sum but good variety regardless. Waitress was very efficient and hospitable. Adding current menu and prices for others to see!

This is my second review and second and last time we go to this establishment. The ladies are very kind BUT when we walked in it smelled of sewer toilet backed up. We had to wear our coats where we were sat cause it was freezing and the food did not taste good at all. The bathroom has no light and the floor was sticky. I'm sorry but we do NOT recommend this restaurant.

So good. Huge potions and well presented. We also ordered takeout for our grand kids. Highly recommended! That was 8 months ago and we finally got back to Ontario and went again last night. Just as awesome. The food is really good, fresh ingredients. Large portions and very reasonable prices. Took a couple more pics. It's our go to place for Chinese food. Best in town by far. Cheers!

Love their food, service, and restaurant really nice. Best place in North Bay to order Chinese food. Only bad thing is they don't deliver at moment.

Great food unfortunately Service was not great. Had to eat in a saucer. When we asked for a plate said plates are too big. Not the friendliest either. Shame as the food was good.

CHOW Committee 05 Dec 2025

Tonight marked Lee’s China Garden’s debut as an official CHOW Choice, and it delivered a thoroughly satisfying experience. The value was exceptional and portions were incredibly generous, leaving every member of the Committee with leftovers for tomorrow (a welcome bonus). Though this was our first order as a group, several of us have ordered from Lee’s in the past and were pleased to find the quality just as consistent and enjoyable. The variety on offer allowed for a well-rounded meal that appealed to all ages, even our youngest diner. Our guest CHOW Committee member went so far as to say it may be the best Chinese food she’s had in the city. Based on tonight’s performance, we expect Lee’s will earn future nominations. Sincerely, The CHOW Committee

Have done Dim Sum in many countries and I am so lucky to have Lee’s in my area. Having been doing take out since Covid. Enjoy this place. If you don’t know what dim sum is try this place as like some other reviewers say it is very good. I don’t think you will find better quality. Enjoy. Just had meal number 7 on the menu. Excellent. We are truly lucky to have this quality restaurant in our area. Once again, a fantastic meal. Hot an sour soup and number 8 for combo for one.

Our first time at this restaurant. Nice to see the poster saying the rest has recently passed all inspections hanging just outside the door of this fairly simple restaurant. The waitress was lovely. There was only one other gentleman in the restaurant when we arrived, another couple arrived shortly thereafter. A number of take outs happened as well. We ordered egg rolls, beef with green peppers and black bean sauce, pan fried noodles (speciality item on back of menu), and sesame chicken. Egg rolls were done very well and arrived promptly. The other dishes were all very good , good quantities for the two of us. The sesame chicken was my fav, but all was very good. Our only complaint is that the plates did not arrive together, there was a lot of time between the plates. We like to eat iur eggrolls as appetizers, but then like all the other dishes together. The waitress was very pleasant, saying this dish or that was her fav and stopped to see which one we liked the best.. she was good. The meal was $55 including taxes and one ice tea. We brought home a take out for lunch tomorrow. We will certainly be back again.
